iTunes Review

Led by rock’s most talked-about new frontwoman, this NY band arrive in style. Chrissy Constanza’s undoubtedly the main event here—she’s a charismatic and very likable performer—but the band’s debut album’s tracks easily hold up against the buzz built ahead of their release. The songs traverse capably between two fairly definable settings: boisterous, inflamed pop-punk (“Running with the Wild Things”, “One More Weekend”, “Blood Like Gasoline”) and pretty, cascading electronic pop ballads (“In Our Bones”, “Brighter”, “Demons”). Both settings are unified by a spirit of empowerment that should underline their appeal.
