Septuagenarian rendition

Despite his age, Paul's voice seems still excellent so those versions of the hits from the Great American Songbook turn out to be dissappointing. His voice seems beautiful but, perhaps due to the slow pace, sounds more like speaking than singing and the melody is somehow missing. It's surprising as when we listen to Paul's recent live performances he looks so young and energetic. Apparently, some youtubers sound much better than Paul on this album, which I think is a shame. Still, the instrumental aspect of this album is undoubtedly superb - good traditonal jazz.
