where is native 1440p ??

Good damn, where is the native resolution for 27” iMacs ?? My iMacs 27” 2009 late Core2duo can’t play 4K movies, from GoPro etc, but 1440p from YouTube plays smoothly… Why iMovie can’t export preety 1440p (2560x1440p) native 1:1 pixel for 27” iMacs ?? It’s beautyfull resolution, better to see shitty fullHD 1080p on 1440p screen, but full 4K isn’t quite enough to hardware on my iMac ?!?!?! Please update the iMovie to can relase good 1440p native movies……. ;))
