Every time you move a content from one app to the other, compare data side by side or multitask in any other way, you need all the windows arranged accordingly. Magnet makes this process clean and simple.

In one drag to the edge, you size a window into half of your screen. And by dragging windows to the corners, you snap them into quarters. Slide them to the bottom edge of your display to create thirds. Do the same on your ultra-wide monitor and arrange windows into sixths. Taking advantage of such arrangements eliminates app switching and greatly enhances workspace efficiency.

Magnet supports keyboard shortcuts as well, for every command it has to offer. There is that little icon sitting in the Menu Bar where you can find a predefined set or create yours.

Great tool

Really speed maker, time saver. It’s worth to invest into learning shortcuts because with them you’ll able to really make layouts you need in a blast.

One issue which is a pain for me is when you have 2 displays you’ll get a bug when trying to move window on one of the screens - it’ll move to the second screen, so you’ll have to reposition it again. Apart from that - 5 stars.

Must have!

I can’t imagine working without Magnet, saves so much time. The only thing I’m missing is the ability to save a ‚snapshot’ of window positions so that I could quickly restore my work setup (2 monitors) after switching back and forth between external and internal displays. For some reason positions are almost always messed up after switching and I have to rearrange every time.

Great! Mac Os X missing feature

This small utility is the missing link in mac os. It does one thing and it does it well! This is something that I have been missing since switching from Windows based desktop. It helps organizing your widnows via dragging them to screen edges. But when you’ll learn keyboard shortcuts… it’s whole another level!

Simply amazing!
