Don’t count on this app.

First of all, it won’t maintain connection with camera longer than around 15 seconds. If you would like to pick multiple pictures to move over tough luck. Remote control is also choppy beyond being usable. Not only that the connection also closes Wi-Fi in camera so you have to go trough camera menu again. Often first try to connect to camera fails, but it fortunately doesn’t close Wi-Fi on camera, so you can try again. Also to add insult to injury, when transferring photos you are bombarded with useless boxes, one of which you cannot even set to not appear. Aside from that I’m convinced, that for someone who made that application English wasn’t even a first language. Your application is a disgrace, Sony, please fix.

EDIT: I found a way to make it more consistent. First enable “always connected” in “control from smartphone”. Second, connect to camera Wi-Fi trough iOS settings. Preview is still choppy, although it’s usable now.

This app is a joke

This is bad beyond recognition. I do not know Soby how you can make one of best cameras out there and yet have no well crafted app to complement it. Main problems (a7iii and a6600 based exprience) are lack of touch focus and manual focus tuning (as you may find in the desktop app, or mobile apps of different makers like Panasonic!). Connection is lagy and unstable. Only reason to use is maybe to sent photos to iphone (once you finally connect), otherwise this app is a useless piece of garbage totaly not in line with these great cameras.

Best Live Remote App Ever

I just bought the action cam FDR-X3000R, spent my last couple days trying & understanding all the settings.. done tones of footages already.. And I have to say, it has been a blast so far. The daylight quality in 1080p 60fps VividMode WideAngle is simply EPIC as is the recording sound.

The apps is just perfect.. Live Remote OMG! I use an iphone 6s for it, have access to all the settings I have on my cam.

LOVE IT =)
