Dudley Perkins

About Dudley Perkins

Dudley Perkins debuted on tha Alkaholiks' 1995 album Coast II Coast (as Declaime). Affiliated with the group of rapper/producers who made waves later in the decade as Lootpack, Perkins wrote a few songs and, with Quasimoto, recorded "Flowers." After Stones Throw's Peanut Butter Wolf heard the acid-soaked R&B jam, he released it as part of the label's Jukebox 45's series. The full-length, A Lil Light, followed in mid-2003, with Expressions coming out in 2006. A year later, The Message Uni Versa appeared as a G&D release, the "G" being Georgia Anne Muldrow. The two would use their full names for the 2008 release Beautiful Mindz. On Perkins' Holy Smokes, released in 2009, Muldrow handled all the production. ~ John Bush
