Elevator

About Elevator

Originally treated as a side project for Eric Trip's Rick White, they debuted as Elevator to Hell with their first release Parts 1 and 2 in 1995. But as the years progressed, the releases continued, as did the changes in their name. They went on to Elevator through Hell, then Elevator Through; now with their latest release, Vague Premonition, they simply go under the name Elevator. With all of their songs recorded on an 8-track recorder, the sole purpose of Elevator is to capture specific moments in emotions; moments that'll only come once in a blue moon that need to be documented. The results are a very lo-fi, minimal sound that can jump from Black Sabbath influenced rock to swirling psychedelic to reverb vocals that drown in keyboards and heavy bass lines. ~ Mike DaRonco
