About Zeni Geva

This Japanese experimental metal band (or "progressive hardcore" as they dubbed themselves) was formed in the late 1980s by multi-instrumentalist K.K. Null. The band channeled the relentless metal attack of Motorhead through the aesthetics of its homeland's famed noise music movement. A technically accomplished power trio, Zeni Geva also mined the complex musical arithmetic of prog rock. Null, whose commanding bark was key to of Zeni Geva's impact, fronted various line-ups of the band throughout the 1990s, and developed a solid cult following, particularly in the American indie underground. Though the band continued on as an entity into the new millennium, Null turned increasingly to his more experimental solo work.
