Description

Warning: Explicit Content Hosted by notorious sex-and-drug-happy authors Mike Edison (I Have Fun Everywhere I Go) and Judy McGuire (How Not to Date), ARTS & SEIZURES features an incredible range of guests, across a broad spectrum of the arts – from high-minded writers to professional wrestlers, actors, comedians, chefs, musicians, journalists, directors, and producers. In the past two years Mike & Judy have welcomed Grammy Nominees and James Beard Award winners onto their show with equal aplomb; as well as pornographers, X-rated cabaret singers, and a host of New York’s most notorious art stars. Mike Edison is the former publisher of marijuana magazine High Times, and was the editor-in-chief of the irresponsibly outrageous Screw. Edison has worked as a correspondent for Penthouse and Hustler, and is an internationally known musician and professional wrestler of no small repute. He is the author of 28 pornographic novels, the cult classic memoir I Have Fun Everywhere I Go, and the pop culture bonanza Dirty! Dirty! Dirty! He speaks frequently on free speech, sex, drugs, and the American counterculture, and is “proof positive that one can be both edgy and erudite, lowbrow and literate, and take joy in the unbridled pleasures of the id without sacrificing the higher mind.” (PopMatters.com) His most recent book is Dirty! Dirty! Dirty!. Judy McGuire is a columnist, author, former managing editor of High Times, and friend to small furry beasts. She has a degree in criminology from CUNY and has been writing a dating advice column called “Dategirl” for the Seattle Weekly and a variety of other outlets for over a decade. In addition to ghostwriting Shock Jock: Hardy Boys Case File 106, she’s the author of How Not to Date (Sasquatch) and the notorious Official Sex, Drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll Book of Lists (Softskull). McGuire lives in Brooklyn, NY, with a man and two cats. You can find her online at dategirl.net. Heritage Radio Network. All Rights Reserved.

Customer Reviews

Funny and Smart, Sexy and Druggy, Rock'n'Roll

They claim to be the "Fastest 30 Minutes on the Internet Today" and they may be right. Really whiz-bang talk-show format with nothing off limits. The shows on ghostwriting were amazing, also the jam on the Ramones song with Handsome Dick Manitoba from the Dictators. MIke Edison is a really great writer, I am not surprised he is so funny, but I didnt know Judy McGuire who is also brilliant. Edison keeps saying she is "too hot for television" - she sounds like it!!!
