Kerry and Dan rock!
I started listening to the Baby Time podcast when I was about 22 weeks pregnant with our first baby. Finding this podcast was a godsend. I went to the Baby Time site and downloaded all of the episodes and started at the beginning. I loved hearing things I had already gone through (and had the same worries/thoughts/questions they did!) and that were coming up in my future. It was like having your best friend pregnant at the same time! Kerry and Dan have a great podcast. Anyone pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant (or now anyone with a little one!) would benefit greatly from listening to this podcast! Their podcast is professional. I am never left thinking, 'Where is this going?' or, 'Why do I care about this???' which happens on many other podcasts... The sound quality is great and they both speak clearly and are articulate. They talk of things that are relevant to where you are in that time. They are funny and make me laugh all the time (always great when on the bus or sitting in my cube at work... but that's another story). They are two normal parents to be (now parents!) with the same first time questions that we all are having. They let us into their lives, by the time I got to the BIG episode where little Jack is born, I considered them friends. I cried when I heard him cry for the first time. They share many important milestones with their listeners. It's awesome. This podcast is one of my top two. Thank you Dan, Kerry and little Jack! We appreciate all of your hard work and great info!
Great to start, but now a waste of time...
I loved listening to these podcasts in their pregnant days, when there seemed to be a lot more information and less drivel. Being pregnant, I felt better going through the months with the same feelings, etc. However now that their son is 8 months old, I feel there is less information and more drivel about how tired they are all the time. They represent only one style of parenting, which is different from my own and others I know. I don't find it useful to listen any more.
Honest Listening for Parents
Dan & Kerry delivery honest parenting thoughts on a regular basis. It's obvious that they are talking about things as they happen and that makes it both informative and refreshing. I can't wait till a second baby comes along. It'll make for great podcasting.
