Great resource for inspiring writers

This podcast has been a great inspiration as well as a great resource for my writing. The author gives wonderful tips and thought provoking ideas on how to improve the quality of your writing and helps keep you motivated to keep writing. She provides links and writing prompts each week as well. She lives in England but as a Yank in the US I find her podcast invaluable no matter where you live.

Interesting but monotone

I have heard each of her podcasts. I have to admit I have found it interesting and helpful, but I have several problems with the podcasts.

(1) The tone of voice on the podcast is so absolutely monotone, it turns hearing her and stay awake a resistance exercise.
(2) The podcast is TOO structured. I know that some structure is necessary for any successful podcast, but does she have to remind us EVERY SINGLE TIME that her podcast is structured first on a list of tips, followed by sentence starters, this day in history, quotes and then a flash fiction freebie... and then remind us every single time, reading a thirty second script to tell us she's transitioning to a new section. It's too boring
(3) Why is an ugly dog the face of the podcast?
