The monotone madness of Matthew Sanborn Smith

Hairy goodness

A quick descent into mango addiction awaits the uninformed listener. Flash fiction and wonderfully segued non sequitors with sublime irreverence for, well, anything. You know you've struck the podcast jackpot when you have to turn off your iPod on an airplane; not because your phone is a WMD and the plane is landing, but because you are shaking so hard with partially suppressed laughter that the lead flight attendant has readied his handcuffs (not those handcuffs, he left the fuzzy ones at home, these are the cheap plastic zip tie hand cuffs), and the people in your row have asked to go sit in the empty seats next to the screaming baby and his phlegm covered three year old sister. I wiped the tears away and regretfully turned off Beware the Hairy Mango, and now only treat myself to its convulsion enducing goodness when operating a motor vehicle at speeds en excess of 60 MPH.

Mango is Dangerous Verbage

The Mango ties your brain up with its slipknots of humor. Matthew Sanborn Smith goal is a thousand stories and each so far is worth the listen.

Immensely enjoyable

Mr. Smith lets listeners share in his goal and his development as a writer. He seems to have started off a writer with a feel for what makes people tick & a wicked sense of humor (sometimes quite wicked), and he keeps getting better. It's inspiring, sometimes even instructive, to observe, and the best may be he keeps it fun along the ride. He has a knack for using odd settings to portray common human traits. He also keeps the production values up consistently, which is not to be taken for granted in a free podcast.
