Great Show

Great retro game show

I don’t speedrun or even watch speedrunning but I love this show, the hosts do a great job of breaking down the history of retro video games and the explanation of how they are speedrun is fascinating

I feel very conflicted; while I value that both of the hosts have their opinions and are human beings, it was hard to really enjoy the LoZ: OoT episode featuring ZFG. @johncarls kept interrupting ZFG, who already did not say much in comparison (at least in the first half of the podcast). I was expecting/hoping to hear more from ZFG which the hosts could have done a better job of directing the discussion to allow for more of ZFG’s participation. It wasn’t really until the end of the episode where he was an active participant. ZFG is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to OoT, while @johncarls kept alluding to his limited knowledge (calling Lon Lon Ranch “Lou Lou”). I don’t know... While this podcast had plenty of speed running content (which the world needs more of), I would hope that future episodes will see the hosts including their guests more as active participants and less criticizing a game - especially retro games.
