Who else records daily podcasts

No one else delivering podcasts on a daily basis besides these guys. Enjoyable to listen to. They love the Mavs and work hard at their craft.

Only critique would be more discussion on the analytics of the NBA, and how the Mavs players are stacking up analytically.

Keep up the hard work!

Love the insights!

This podcast is a treat - It is a big go-to for me for info about the team and league for that matter. Nick and Issac are insightful and knowledgeable and I enjoy the perspective they bring. I listen to MOST of the podcast, it is a little long and I listen to the 45 minute podcast on my 30 minute drive to work. Maybe a little more structure/framework to shave a few mins off? Either way, great job!

I tried

I’m a huge Mavs fan. I even have season tickets and follow the team on every platform I know about. When I discovered that there was a daily pod dedicated to the Mavs (this one) I was floored. So I quickly subscribed and started listening to every episode since ~April of this year.

I can’t listen anymore. Isaac Harris is...not very good. First of all, “SIT” and “SET” are two different words, Isaac. You “SET” a screen and “SIT” on the bench. Please enunciate.

Pronunciation aside, Isaac is just all fluff and no substance. I can’t recall a single analytical take from Isaac where I was “wow-ed.” He seems like he just looks at the box score before they record a pod and he talks straight off that. Then he has these fake “fiery Isaac” takes that are just him picking from the lowest hanging fruit. On a recent pod he spent a good 6 minutes talking in generalities about the “importance of leadership.” Like, no kidding. Who doesn’t understand that? And I still have no idea how that take applies to the Mavs (who have MULTIPLE 10+ year players on their squad). And that’s just a microcosm of what he brings; which is vague nothing-ness.

All of that wouldn’t be so bad if he also wasn’t so un-funny and straight laced. Boring is the word. There’s no edge.

The only reason I gave a single star was because of Nick Angstadt, who “drives” the show. He is the one who tries to bring an analytical mind to topics and seems to actually watch the games (I appreciated his video breakdowns of Wes Matthews and his 90/10 good to bad ratio).

As a duo, these two just don’t work. They laugh too often at things that aren’t funny and Isaac is an anchor to any substantive discussions that accidentally take place.

tl;dr - Avoid this pod. You’ll learn nothing and laugh less. Four Corner pod is still the best Mavs pod.
