Description
Family Ghosts is a longform, documentary-style storytelling podcast. In each episode, someone tries to figure out the truth behind a legend that’s haunted their family for generations - the tales told at the end of big meals, after everybody’s had a little wine. We’ve investigated grandmothers who were secretly operating international jewel smuggling rings, parents who were cult members, and undertaken a madcap search for a father's missing corpse. On Family Ghosts, every house is haunted, and the truth is always relative. Hosted by Moth Grand Slam winner Sam Dingman, whose stories have been featured on Risk!, TBTL, Benjamen Walker's Theory of Everything, and The Moth Radio Hour.

Family Ghosts
Fascinating story told in a compelling manner. Sam Dingham is a natural narrator and I would like to listen to more in the series. Please continue to research this and other stories and let us hear them.
Strong but uneven
This podcast had some very strong episodes during its first season and some self indulgent, boring duds. First three episodes were great: original stories with strong reporting and compelling characters. Last three were more uneven. Hope this gets renewed but would encourage podcaster to focus more on the interesting characters.
Great little podcast!!
Let me say, I'm subscribed to oh about 100 podcasts (no joke), yet lately I've been in a bit of a drought. There's a ton of new content out there, and very little of it is really GREAT. Well, Family Ghosts has got me hooked! Great storytellers and interesting stories that really grab your attention. Like a book you can't put down! Keep it up, Panoply. I hope this one sticks around!
