Customer Reviews

Wow, first review.

The Gabfest is not gabby enough; it's really more of a "straight ahead analysis." People from Slate gab more forthrightly gabbishly in the lighthearted lifestyle/arts/gabmentary features. The Supreme Court coverage is hot, but no swearing. Andy Bowers' voice is consistent especially when he apologizes for having laryngitis (nice move). Not enough Arrested Development coverage.

Funny, smart and informative

The Slate podcast received my first step into the world of podcasting several months ago, and set the bar so high (too high) that many of the other podcasts I've engaged have fallen short. The variety of columns that Bowers chooses (and reads with aplomb) leads to an interesting, surprising, eclectic mix, much like the magazine itself. Top shelf.

Podcast Crush

Slate's is really the most enjoyable podcast. Very interesting and informative. The subject matter is great. The Sklar twins are HILARIOUS - I love when they are contributing! Yikes how embarrassing...a podcast crush :)
