Great new podcast on a fascinating topic
Brandon Huebner has started a great new podcast on a topic that certaainly needed good coverage. A maritime history podcast allows him to follow the development of many of the civilizations throughout history all the way up to the modern day. It also allows for the exploration of military, economic, and social topics. I really like the broad, yet focused theme of this history podcast. Huebner's teatment of it is professional and the audio is good quality. I look forward to seeing how he develops it in the coming years.
A great start!
It is still very early in the series but Brandon Huebner is getting off to a great start on a topic central to human history and yet not one that has been comprehensively covered. I have listened to the first 4 episodes and find the narrative organized and easy to follow. For now, we are moving pretty fast over a period with not much historical or archaelogical data. Looking forward to when the series gets to time periode where there is much more information. Though data sources are lacking for the period, Brandon pulls the information that is available into a easy to listen to format.
Excellent new podcast
This is a very well organized and interesting podcast. Brandon Huebner has done a great job not only explaining the origins of sailing, but also places that information in the greater context of world history. Not an easy thing when you are starting at the dawn of civilization.
