-
Jury Duty
We recount our experiences responding to a jury summons, with a few sordid tales included. Plus, Margaret is loving her phone babysitting her, and Mike reminds us the Skull Comet is coming back for another Halloween visit.
-
Stir Frying
We prove that we can do certain types of stir frying, and definitely not others. Will we ever agree on whether there are any merits to the 12 inch skillet over the wok? (No.) Plus, Margaret made her Twitter bearable again, and Mike is enjoying some old-timey British humor.
-
Medical Research Studies
Margaret tells what all research studies are like.... ok, n=1. Plus, Mike disapproves of other people's fabulous, and wants everyone to know that summer fruit is good.
-
New Orleans
We come back from a long hiatus due to laziness and travel. We talk about our trip to New Orleans, and Margaret only spends half the time talking about economic injustice and the legacy of slavery. Plus, Mike finds an article that is pretty infuriating, and Margaret has put Twitter in Siberia.
-
Excel
It's finally come to this. Mike has specific questions about Excel and Margaret attempts to explain. But really, she just talks about the flight simulator hidden inside Excel 97. And Sim City, somehow. Plus, Mike only thinks about ahistorical dinosaurs, and Margaret absconded to read.
Customer Reviews
Sigh..
I am halfway into the Edward Gorey podcast. If I didn't feel guilty doing so I would leave a lower rating than three stars, but so far this podcast is incredibly boring and now have no desire to the listen to their other podcasts.
Too much run-on talking in general, but way too much discussion about random, boring stuff at the beginning of the podcast.
A suggestion: they should save off topic stuff for the end of the podcast. I am here to learn about Edward Gorey, not random glitter stuff about Australia which I could hardly care about.
I found them through the search option while trying to find Edward Gorey so I don't care what is happening in their day to day life.
Very Entertaining
Funny, wordy, delightfully wide-ranging. Two sharp-witted, well-informed conversationalists with no attitude. Down-to-earth but also creative. Having listened to about half a dozen of these, I appreciate the format better than I did after the first -- culture/internet/feature -- and find the digressions as entertaining as the title topics. This podcast will grow on you.
Exceptional
An intelligent, dreamy podcast, incredibly clever, accurately informative.
