Great show. I found it too late
I just found this podcast after it was mentioned on James Bonding w the Matts and I was so sad when i realized the most recent episode was the one saying goodbye.
I’ve been enjoying diving into the back catalog and plan to continue to listen. Great content. Bummed I missed out.
Have to give the boys some credit
Their background knowledge of the franchise and wide array of impressive interviews have to be acknowledged. All that stuff is impressive.
And while art is totally subjective, call me crazy but the only reason they don’t get full marks from me is that they love the films too much! I am rewatching the films and listening to their reviews as I go along, they love every single one! Even the bad ones! They seem to actively struggle to say anything critical about the bond films, which takes away from their credibility a bit and makes it less entertaining. It’s ok to not like “the man with the golden gun” you wouldn’t be the only one.
Missed opportunity
Excellent podcast, I listened to just about every episode, and even though the scales have fallen from mine eyes and I see that these Bond movies are a marketplace vehicle for genocidal eugenicist globalists and more pro-government/global Crown authority, I am still a Bond fan. With the delayed and final release of NTtD and there being a smallpox bioweapon featured in the movie, alongside the plot of OHMSS (Vitus Omega) and Moonraker with the storyline of eugenics, and taken in conjunction with the passing of Chris' fiancée (many condolences, I realize I am broaching the limits of solemnity and respectfulness, but I imagine it has to do with the thing), there seems to be an obvious connection that had not been made between film and our reality.
