Melrose Scouting Productions Podcast features Scouting related videos. These videos includes videos produced by the Boy Scouts and leaders of Boy Scout Troop 68 during the last twenty-five years. These include skits and songs, and could be a great tool to teach your troop and pack members how to perform for the Cub Scout Pack or at your Boy Scout campfire program. This is also the home of puppet known as Buttons, the radical Boy Scout, who shares his thoughts about the great adventure we call Scouting.

MSPP #139: Many Point Scout Camp 2014 Opening Campfire P1
This video was recorded during the July 6, 2014, opening campfire. This will be the first of a few videos filmed during the campfire that will be posted to the Melrose Scout Productions Podcast. As you can see when you watch this, this year’s staff was pumped to start working with a new week of Boy Scout campers. This video features the staff introductions and the singing of the Many Point Rouser. As all “repeat after me” songs, it gets pretty loud and rowdy by the end.

A Much Needed Podcast for Troops
You know when you read a skit on paper and try and imagine how it all comes together when boys actually perform it can sometimes leave you wondering if it would be a good skit to do. The great thing about Scoutmaster Steve and what he's done here is that you can now see skits performed and not just written as a script. It makes a huge difference and you can easily pick out which boy would do best at which part. Scoutmaster Steve could only do better if he produced more episodes faster, like a new one every day would be good. ;-)
I find this show so very useful in that I've used some of the shorter skits with my Cubs and I plan on performing VISTA with my leaders at some point soon.

Great Scouting Video Podcast
Steve's Melrose Scouting Production (MSP) podcasts are a great source of entertainment for Scouters. But they also are great for getting ideas for songs and skits. The MSP podcast is a great resource for Scouts and Scouters alike!
