The Boss, Jersey Beat
Really well done and always fascinating. Jarrett opens every show with a thoughtful, introspective essay and then interviews a local scenemaker. The latest episode with Joe Steinhardt of Don Giovanni Records is very informative (and that comes from someone who already knows Joe very well.)
I found this podcast because Paint It Black posted something on there twitter feed. I've listened to a few now and I really appreciate that Jarrett asks difficult questions. There was a point during the Albini and Andy Nelson conversations where he asked questions that I would never have the nerve to ask but I'm happy Jarrett did because I want to know the answer. I didn't feel as though he was trying to insult the guest whatsoever just that he wanted to know.
I know this podcast isn't the most frequent due to Jarrett's touring schedule but I'll be looking forward to new episodes when he has time.
