Easy summary of facsinating topics
David Corcoran does a fantastic job of covering the week's Science Times articles through original interviews with people involved with the topics. The podcast goes beyond reiterating the articles; it opens up a dialog with the experts on the topics. Must listen!
Quick, but not very informative
In their first episode regarding avian flu, the host refers to "less than 100 deaths", "less than 200 deaths" and "several hundred deaths". You might be better off reading the actual NY Times yourself.
Great, interesting, easy to digest.
This podcast is the perfect combination of interesting, yet understandible topics, that have not been too dumbed down. As a non-scientist, I love the podcast. Some brief stories, and at least one more in-depth conversation per pod-cast. Not an exact repeat of the printed version, but always touches on the main story. Also good about this podcast is that it's still relevant even if you're listening to it a couple of weeks later.
