if you're learning CHARACTER ANIMATION...
GET SPLINECAST!!! Never-Before, Behind-the-Scenes interviews of successful PIXAR giants such as Andrew Stanton, Oscar-winning director of Finding Nemo! Five of the BEST PIXAR ANIMATORS generously give essential knowledge to the learning of character animation for the 21st century by just talkin! They recorded their conversation in a relaxed, comfortable environment, with each animator enthusiastic and humble about adding their 2 cents, and it's like having 5 PIXAR teachers at once. LOT OF MONEY. VERY convenient to be able to learn animation going to work, or driving somewhere with your ipod. Always supporting The 12 Principles of Animation and Traditional Animation, they teach you about 3D character animation...and it's really rare to hear such good advice...considering the crap animation teachers we have at the academy. And probably at most other schools. So basically, be thankful to these guys, and take it!
Get an inside look into the minds of some of Pixar's animators---the how, the why, the trials and tribulations, and their inspirations. If you're in any way interested in animation, you should be listening to this podcast and checking out their blog.
Simply the best animation podcast out there.
Sure, other podcasts just talk about the industry from an outside perpsective, but this podcast was created BY animators FOR animators...or for anyone with a passion for the artform. Keep it coming, fellas.
