Customer Reviews

Love this podcast! Especially if I’m on my way out to go herping! Keep up the great work guys!

I am an aspiring paleoartist and while not going into herpetology, was drawn to this podcast through my appreciation of Gabriel Ugueto, whose work is stunning. SquaMates is incredibly in-depth for being so humorous, and incredibly humorous for being so in-depth. The differing backgrounds and palpable chemistry of the show's hosts make it a breeze to listen to hours of phylogenetic debate and discussion. This was the first podcast I have ever listened to on my own accord, and I was disappointed to later learn not all podcasts are as good as this one! Keep up the amazing puns

My favorite podcast for long car trips

If you like questionable herp puns, long podcasts, and herpetology, SquaMates is the right podcast for you. Mark, Gabriel, and Ethan are three enthusiastic and hilarious hosts, whose differently similar backgrounds really compliment one another as they explain/talk about new herp papers, their work, the correct pronunciation of anole, and other exciting herp tidbits and topics. Really great pod, the only thing I don’t like is that they only upload a podcast once a month, but I feel like the length of the podcast helps makes up for it.
