Star Trek Audio Drama from Giant Gnome Productions. Life is good for Lt. Greg Torkelson aboard the USS Remington a Starfleet research vessel stationed near the Venderis Nebula. However, when word comes that he’s been promoted to the Executive Officer of Deep Space Station 3, an outpost in the backwaters of Federation space, he quickly discovers that all is not as it appears, and what seems to be too good to be true just might be. " In the darkest reaches of the United Federation of Planets, an isolated station stands sentinel over a neglected frontier. Commissioned long ago with high hopes, its promise is now all but forgotten; a lonely outpost serving as the gateway to the vast expanse beyond, where discovery…and adventure…await.."- Lt. Commander Gregory Torkelson

Fun, Smart Series

Well written and well acted, Outpost is unique in that it focuses on elements that most other Star Trek stories do not and still manages to keep it interesting. So far this series echoes Deep Space 9 in the best ways; the main aliens are the Ferengi and the cast of characters are stationed far from regular Starfleet territory, allowing for stories that are still distinctly part of the Trek universe but also have enough wiggle room to make them unpredictable (as unfortunately many Trek stories, official or fan-made, tend to be). Good job, guys!

Lovin' It!

I watch/listen to *all* the fan shows--I make Starship Excelsior (which--shameless plug--you can find in the iTunes podcast directory), so it's kinda part of my job. In the past two years, no show has so quickly caught my attention as Outpost, nor held it so rapt. As Star Trek, it's familiar, but Outpost has so far avoided all the tired Trek tropes upon which so many other fan shows have run aground. Outpost's mysterious milieu, inventive characters, high production values, and plain old clever dialogue compel me to give this show my highest recommendation. Keep it going, GGP!

OUTPOST is fantastic

This is a very well written and produced podcast. The characters and story line got me wrapped up in this show right away. Please keep it up!
