five stars

I listened to the second episode of Talking About Practice while cleaning out the communal fridge at my workplace. It entertained and informed me, and also distracted me from my incredibly disgusting task. And really, is there higher praise?

I've listened to this podcast and I have to say that the basketball conversation is quite good. It's not your cookie-cutter rundown of stats and standings. There is more depth to this than most basketball podcasts. Subscribe and enjoy.

Needs a volume tweak to hit 5 stars

The content in this podcast is excellent. Interviewing NBA writers and team bloggers gives a wider variety of perspectives on the game. The frustrating part is that the volume of the host tends to be several notches lower than the guest, so when listening in a place with ambient noise (such as the car) I need to choose between hearing half the conversation at an uncomfortable level (turning the volume knob up high to hear the host but killing my eardrums with the guest's voice) or not being able to hear half the conversation at all. This is based on the first 5 podcasts.
