"big things come from small beginninfgs"

What a welcome change to 5by5! a comic book centric show with a very cool and interactive host. A great place for newbies to comics and pro level readers! Expect this to grow huge!

Great Comic Podcast

Listened to first episode and really enjoyed it. The host takes a slightly different track on comics, and is focussing more on collecting and history, as opposed to only discussing the latest comic news. I'm a big 5by5 fan and glad it finally has the comic show it always needed. I hope this podcast grows and evolves to greatness, and stays on air for a long time!

Very Promising!

First off, let me say I'm not a huge comic book geek. In fact I could probably count on one hand the number of comic books I've bought/read in my life. One might question why someone with my comic cred would even listen to a comic related podcast. Well, to be honnest, I love the work Dan Benjamin does with the 5by5 network and I trust his judgment. Boy am I glad I did. (Also...Free !)

Although I never got nto the hobby, I've always been intrigued. The problem for me has always been that I have a great deal of hesitation to jump into the middle of a story arc. There is so much content being created in this realm, it's overwhelming. Well just guess what the topic of the first episodes has been. Jim expresses sympathy to this barrier and suggests a few strategies to overcome it. This is exactly what I needed to finally get started in this hobby, or at least dip my toe in.

Jim has an easy voice to listen too and seems very thoughtful in his approach. I look forward to more episodes.
