Much room for improvements

Having listened to three podcasts I've decided this isn't for me. In terms of presentation, often the speaker simply reads from his notes with a monotone style that lacks any polish or production value found in better podcasts. As to actual substance (E.g., the episodes on muskets and the War of 1812) the content is typically a recital of mundane facts as opposed to any insightful analysis.

Just discovering Podcasts.... This was my first, and now cant get enough... The discussions are very intersting and the authors make it very entertaining. I have always enjoyed history documentaries, but they all have a set destination, with this podcast much like in real life, the discussion starts in one direction but as different topics come up some time is spent on the ancilary discussion. The authors usually get back on track by saying "but that could be covered by another podcast" and then finish the current pod cast, but they actually do get back to that anscilary discussion in another podcast. Cant wait for the next one...... Still have not figured out what rooster is about.

Great history, great fun

I found this podcast recently as I love listening to history podcasts at work and I am THRILLED I did. The hosts really know their stuff and always offer a fantastic and in-depth view on the subject, peppered with angles and viewpoints that probably wouldn’t always be offered. I also truly love and appreciate their media suggestions - I’ve found a whole slew of cool and interesting books and movies that I now love but might have missed otherwise.

If you are in ANY way interested in history, give ’The History Files’ a shot. You will be glad you did.
