Customer Reviews

Having to edit my 5 star review in light of new format.

Imagine your favorite local garage band. Now imagine they decide to put out an overly produced album that's slick, boring, and sounds just like Coldplay.

That's exactly what has happened to my dear old Joystiq Podcast. It's gone from the ONLY podcast I'd make sure to listen to each week, to a podcast I've unsubscribed to. I was actually excited about the change when it was first announced, but the end product is just exceedingly dull. There's no chemistry amongst host and guests, and overall it takes itself way too seriously. ('Joystiq' and 'taking itself too seriously' shouldn't be in the same sentence.)

I'm not someone who hates change. I actually enjoy the evolution of website designs, television shows, and even podcasts, as long as the soul and spirit of the product remains. The Joystiq Podcast has gone from something filled with so much charm and wit to something completely cold and soulless. It makes me sad to have to write such a dire review, but the writing is on the wall.

Farewell, Joystiq Podcast. Let me know if you decide to bring the funny back.

Had to unsubscribe :(

Sorry guys, I just cant listen to this anymore. Where did the Joystiq podcast and X3F go, I don't want to listn to this, I enjoyed the banter, not the news parts.

Hopefully someone at Joystiq is looking at the ratings and the number of subscribers. I know they always pushed to rate the app, so now unfortunately, I need to change my rating on the podcast from a 5 to a 1 :(

We all miss the old shows, bring them back, PLEASE!

More Muffin Tops please

Easily the only one of my podcast subscriptions that I listen to as soon as it gets posted. Oh you may think it's because I love it so, but no, it's because the quicker I get through it the faster I can delete it off my Ipod. Love the show guys keep up the excellent production values. 5 Star

7/9/11 I've had to change my review of the Joystiq Show. I used to love it with all my heart. It was at the top of my playlist every week, then they changed the format and killed it. The relaunch is now 2 episodes in and so far the shows have been lifeless and boring, not to mention sporadic. The podcast used to be weekly and now it appears that it's going to be somwhere in between biweekly to monthly? Who knows? As soon as they bring the old format back, I'm on it, until then don't bother.
