Very Informative

The Little Guys Technology show is a great way to keep up on developments in the world of home electronics and technology. There have several instances where David and Evie have talked about a situation I have experienced and then how to over come it. Or a new technology or piece of gear is released and it was something that I was looking for. Plus the hosts are very knowledgeable and you can tell they enjoy doing what they do.

I enjoy the show, but...

I really enjoy Dave and Evie's show. I like them both, and it's a fun listen which touches on a lot of current products that only a dealer would have first hand knowledge of. But the feed is updated very seldom and it's always 2-3 months out of date. Useless if you want to take advantage of a time-sensitive promotion. Why the delay?

And while we're talking about promotions, it's a little painful to have to listen to all the biased plugs for the products they carry. As a fellow business owner, I understand the fervor for the products that they have selectively chosen, but it's a little insulting that when questioned, they fail to acknowledge the quality of competitive brands.

Worse is the constant push for people to purchase overpriced HDMI and power cables. I'm not going to say that there aren't situations where they make a difference, but I believe that in the majority of situations, they will make ZERO difference. I know it's an age old debate, but how can I possibly take a dealer seriously when they admonish competitors that offer viable and MUCH more affordable solutions? I do think that they genuinely believe what they preach, but this doesn't exactly give me a feeling a trust when seeking advice on speakers and components.
