Excellent Podcast!!!

Thank you for a fun, enlightening and down-to-earth podcast about sex and marriage. The humor and straight-forward talk makes it good for husbands and wives. Even though it is a Christian podcast, it is not at all preachy. I look forward to listening to it each week. Thank you Mark Gungor!!

I recommend this podcast to everyone! Listen to a little and then you tell me you weren't surprised!

I went to a Laugh Your Way To A Better Marriage Seminar and let me tell you, there were things that were covered that I've never understood until I went! I am glad that I did go. Basically changed my relationship for the best! Thanks Mark. I pray that your podcasts touch millions more!!!!!!! You put things in perspective that are down to earth and funny at that! Thanks!

Good content obscured by lazy, abusive host

Mark Gungor is an entertaining speaker with a great message for couples, whether married or unmarried.

However, over the past few years of listening, it's become more and more clear that he's far more interested in hearing the sound of his voice than actually helping people.

He stopped taking calls early on, probably because it forced him to listen and come up with helpful advice without insulting the caller. The show slowly became 30 mins of rambling about football...then theoretically answering questions via email. However, half the time he's too lazy to actually listen to the question or answer, instead preferring to interrupt and launch into an abusive rant that may or may not have anything to do with the actual circumstances of the person foolish enough to send in the question.

He apparently took so much well deserved flak via email that, instead of actually getting his act together, he just started adding a long disclaimer to the beginning of the show to absolve himself of any actual responsibility to attempt to help you or even be remotely civil if you write in to ask a question.

The show is about to make its second attempt at TV, and he seems to have cut back on the rambling intro. However, he's still just as abusive, and after one particularly cringe-inducing tirade I decided I didn't need to be party to it any more.

I was a supporter of his ministry for quite a while. I bought his book, paid for his flag page assessment, donated to his ministry, and recommended his shows and materials to friends. If you want to hear his great teaching on marriage, buy his book or go to a seminar. That Mark is the one you'll enjoy spending time with, not this petty tyrant that cowardly lashes out at people that can't respond or defend themselves.
