Recorded at the Money Pit in Nashville and produced by Raul Malo (who co-wrote most of the songs), In My Dreams was Rick Trevino's fourth studio album in English when it was released in 2003, and it skillfully combined his country and Latino style in lush Nashville production that gave everything a rich (but not too unbearably rich) pop sheen. Trevino and Malo immediately went back into the studio and recorded a companion album to In My Dreams called Whole Town Blue, but the second effort was never released, while In My Dreams, Trevino's best and most integrated effort to date, and certainly the most personal, slipped out of print. Warner Bros. has now reissued both projects on a single disc, and combined like this, the pairing expands the canvas of In My Dreams delightfully and naturally.
