Reseña de álbum

Another masterpiece from collaborators Iraj Janati Ataee, Siavash Ghomayshi, and Ebi, Shabe Niloofari is a combination of modern music elements with Janati's enchanting lyrics. The album consists of seven songs composed by the duo of Ghomayshi and Steve McCrum, who began to work together back in 1994, and have put their modern music ambitions in almost all the songs here. The music is an excellent match for Ebi's vocal characteristics, making this album one of Ebi's more remarkable efforts, and a must-have not only for dedicated Ebi fans but also for anyone with even a passing interests in him. Shabe Niloofari is similar in parts to Ebi's exceptional album Setarehaye Sorbi (Leaden Stars) which was also result of the collaboration of Janati, Ghomayshi, and McCrum. Most of these songs are basically ballads, but this time around, the dream team of Ebi-Janati-Ghomayshi-McCrum have also included a sociopolitical song to the album with "Siyah Poosha." The only weak part of Shabe Niloofari may be its use of synth-based parts, which at times overshadow the other instruments and lyrics.
