About Baby J

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories would have to be playing Bow Wow's "Beware of Dog" album. When I was a kid, Bow Wow was everywhere from television to movies. He was honestly inspiration to make me feel like I could excel in music in one day. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? J. Cole, 2014 Forest Hills Drive Kanye West, Graduation ScHoolboy Q, Habits & Contradictions I chose these three albums because I feel these are masterpieces that I can listen to without any skips. I have a huge appreciation for these artists and their bodies of work. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Ya Ya (feat. Stephon) (Single)” What I love about this song is that it's different from songs I usually write because it's more of a party or club banger. I feel it's one of those songs that shows my versatility as an artist. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I would say one of the most memorable moments in my career was performing at Chene Park in Detroit. It was an opening slot for a throwback show that featured Boosie, Twista, Plies, Shawty Lo and a few more. The atmosphere was amazing. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I feel like I'm just getting started, so there's a lot I still want to accomplish. Award shows, big city tours, features with artists like J Cole and Big Sean. I really want to make a big impact in Hip Hop.
