Love Intervention

Love Intervention

An R&B singer from Florida, Urban Mystic (born Brandon Williams) started singing in church and eventually started writing his own material. In 2004 he was discovered by then-hugely successful superproducer Scott Storch, who signed him and helped release Ghetto Revelations, his debut. Ghetto Revelations 2 appeared a few years later, followed by 2009's GRIII: Old School 2 Nu Skool. Despite big-name guests like Paul Wall and Yung Joc, none of those albums or singles really blew up. But Urban hopes to change that with Love Intervention, arguably his best work to date. Soulful crooning and romantic longing are what he's all about, with love jams galore set to strong midtempo production. Check out "Money Is My Wife" (with Bun B, Jadakiss, and Styles P), "Throw It Back," "It Ain't Easy," and the reggae stylings of "Waiting" featuring Busta Rhymes.
