Album Review

Rasa is comprised of Hans Christian and Kim Waters. It is also the Sanskrit word for "the essence of divine love." Union is their second CD. Waters' sweet and soulful vocals are the perfect accompaniment to Christian's multi-instrumental virtuosity. The vocals, in Sanskrit and Bengali, are erotic and sensuous. Christian and the guest musicians create complimentary soundscapes and atmospheres. Waters and Christian share their devotions to each other and the music willingly with their listeners. Deep listeners will feel validated and refreshed after this experience. This great CD will appeal to fans of Vas, Sheila Chandra, Stellamara, Natacha Atlas, and Dead Can Dance.
