Equally appealing to clubgoers, hip-hop heads and romantics, Craig David’s Born to Do It pairs UK garage beats with suave American R&B. “Fill Me In” is a bouquet of smooth contours, while the skittering beat of “Can’t Be Messin’ Around” never disturbs David’s effortless cool. Even when things get hot and heavy, on “Time to Party” and “Bootyman”, the music stays light on its feet.
