You are Hanami, a samurai haunted by the spirits of 4 warriors he slew in glorious battle.
Through a deal with dark forces, they have come back to seek revenge! You can avoid the spirits — but to finally defeat them you must forge the legendary Katana of Destiny, by collecting the iron of the stars. Through powerful meditation you can help Hanami travel through space on this quest. Only the Katana of Destiny can finally destroy these spirits, who will surely wreak havoc on the world of the living if you do not defeat them. But be careful, the ghosts will try to defeat you first!

Onryo means “wrathful spirit” and is based on Japanese folklore and traditional belief in which the departed return as spirits to seek vengeance upon those who wronged them in life.
