Cause Co-Motion! are from Brooklyn, but their hearts lie in the U.K. indie scene of the 1980s. The band bears the clear influence of acts like the Television Personalities, the Pastels, the Wedding Present, and Talulah Gosh, as well as other post-punk, twee, and C-86 bands; contemporaries like Vivian Girls, the Pains of Being Pure At Heart, and Crystal Stilts share these influences as well. Like the U.K. bands, the four members go by their first names only, and they prefer singles and EPs to full-length albums. The compilation IT'S TIME: SINGLES AND EPS 2005-2008 covers their first five vinyl releases.
