About Skyharbor

A hard-hitting, cosmopolitan progressive metal unit with roots in both the United States and India, Skyharbor began as a bedroom studio project for guitarist Keshav Dhar before blossoming into one of the international metal community's hottest new prospects. Formed in 2010 as a result of Dhar and TesseracT vocalist Daniel Tompkins' desire to collaborate, the band made its live debut in 2011 at the Indian multi-city music festival NH7 Weekender. Skyharbor inked a deal with Basick Records the following year and released their debut, two-disc studio album Blinding White Noise: Illusion & Chaos. The double album featured vocalists Tompkins and Sunneith Revankar (Bhayanak Maut) each getting their own side, as well as a guest appearance by ex-Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman. The band toured heavily in 2012 and 2013 before heading back to the studio to record their sophomore outing, Guiding Lights, which was released in 2014. ~ James Christopher Monger
