About Numa Edema

Known professionally as Numa Edema, Numa Norderhaug is a Norwegian singer and songwriter who takes influence from soul, folk, and the singer/songwriter tradition. With Norwegian and Nigerian roots, he grew up in Oslo with parents who were supportive of the arts and musicians and writers themselves. Released in 2015, his debut single, “Delta Man,” was picked up by NRK radio, leading to a booking on TV’s Good Morning Norway. His full-length debut, The Hourglass, followed via Norwegian independent label Winglyd in early 2016. In 2017, Edema was invited to open several dates in the U.S. for Stephen Stills and Judy Collins, who were touring in support of their first collaborative album. The Hourglass received a U.S. release on Collins' Wildflower Records, a Cleopatra imprint, in September 2017.
