Given A.P. Carter's penchant for choosing classic Appalachian folk songs and gently tweaking the arrangements, the template for what the Carter Family accomplished was unchanging, and they remain one of the most important and influential groups in the history of American music. This two-disc set has all of the trio's signature and key songs, including "John Hardy," "Can the Circle Be Unbroken?," "Wildwood Flower," "Keep on the Sunny Side," "Wabash Cannonball," "Coal Miner's Blues," and "No Depression," among many others.
