Simply amazing!

Thank God! I’ve been searching for an application where I can fully decide and control my photos and projects. Only your imagination is the limit! Thank you for making this app available.

One of the best

I’ve been using Pixelmator daily for more than a year now and i can easily say that this is definitely one of the best editing apps on the ipad pro. I use it mainly for photo editing.

Pros:
-Easy to use
-FUN to use (editing and working creatively is a blast)
-Really fast workflow
-Professional looking results
-Powerful and well implemented tools (mostly)

Cons/suggested changes:
-Unfortunately there is no skew tool, and that is well needed.

-Can’t handle large files (you get limited to working with only 3-4 layers with large files)

-Slow updates with months in between (still not updated for the ipad pro 11”, 2018)

-No way to find information about your project or imported photos (size in pixels or mb) Same with exporting.

- When choosing clone tool, it always appears in the middle of the project. So if you’re really zoomed in, you have to zoom out, grab the clone marker, move it to the area you’re working on and then zoom back in. It should always appear in the middle of the area you’re working on, no matter the zoom level.

-Using two fingers to rotate and zoom canvas (without cropping ofc) would make editing easier. Now it only enables you to zoom in and out statically and the canvas often snaps to upper or lower part of the project window. Making small zooms irritatingly difficult.

-When choosing a brush, eraser for example, it allows you change brush size between certain values in pixels, but it doesn’t show on the canvas the actual size of the brush, making you often guess what size will fit your need. Forcing you to often go back and adjust the size due to it being too small or big.

- One more thing about the clone tool. The marker is always black on the canvas, so if you’re working on a dark project you can’t see the marker and its size properly.

-I would like to be able to create a new blank project and save that as a preset. Today you can’t and are only able to use the 3 standard presets of blank projects.

New update all package, no content.

Numerous small bugs in the latest 2.7 update; i.e. gradients in small smart objects gets in disproportionately squashed up in the centre of their own objects. On top of that, a lot of values are now purposely removed from sliders resulting in less function for bland looks not to mention that you can't reproduce the same settings ever again, only rough approximates. The new look also moved the most fundamental tool, selection, below the screen edge, making it necessary to scroll to access. In short, the old interface was a lot faster and much more effective to work in. All in all, the new update wrecked everything. EDIT: Repair no longer works to add missing data in a photo either. Nothing really works anymore. Painful. Just painful.
