Swedish duo the Embassy re-assemble several different breeds of pop into their own brand of light, upbeat, and danceable sounds, using New Order-inspired synth pop as a starting point and blending in elements of space age bachelor pad, electronic dance, disco, and even hints of pub rock. The Embassy's production pastiche is mirrored by their mischievous attitude, and the group has stayed active in the form of antic-laden live shows and a stream of studio output that stretches from their 2002 debut full-length Futile Crimes to their fifth studio album E-Numbers, which was released more than 20 years later in 2023.
