Almost an all-round music player
Knocked off one star because it doesn’t play DSD files.
It has otherwise one of the best file/songs browsing interface and is very stable.
Dream come true
My NAS is set to be a iTunes and UPNP server. With the 8player on my iPhone or iPad I could stream music, video or photos. I played wave files and watched vid clips I took my my mobile phones that were not iTunes compatible. All played without a glitch. And the NAS appeared automatically on the 8player. Works wonderfully. And controls are really easy. Great software. Makes my iPhone and iPad a streamer for all my media in my NAS. Wow.
Clean and fast for music
I bought for music from qnap NAS and it works great. Interrogates the media server very quickly and easy to use. Free version only shows first 5 files per folder, so you have to buy full version but worth it. Does not work for most video files.
