What's New in Version 1.0.9
Major performance increase and graphical improvements for Mac Mini
Various bug fixes
Good gameplay, bad graphics
I can't really say that Asphalt 6 has bad graphics, it's just that Asphalt 6 detects what system you are using to play and auto-adjusts the graphics quality to increase performance. For example, my 2006 Mac Mini has the Intel GMA 950 IGPU, quite low-end and slow, and thus Asphalt 6 reduces the texture size and quality to such a level where playing on a Gameboy Advanced SP seems more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Sure, you might say that it reduces eye-candy to ensure smooth gameplay, but i can tell that the game is playing at 60fps, when 30fps is more than bearable playing any action-filled game. So Gameloft, please, allow us to adjust the graphics quality manually please?
As for gameplay, i absoulutely love it, the repetitive gameplay value is just short of the Grand Theft Auto series of sandbox games, even though the content is a bit limited. I could play this game throughout a 17-hr (with transit) flight to the UK! And the co-driver narration is quite funny, giving a good laugh at times.
i still think its better when played on the ipod touch.
i hope i can have auto acceleration option in this game and to have the freedom to customize my own controls
i'm waiting for a better and newer version.
graphics is still the best ;)
Great driving game
Love the scenery
