Aztech Kyla 4+

Have recently purchased the Kyla IR cube which works wonderfully for the supported products. Hopefully can add more compatibility to the remotes in the app.
Some template fans cannot even support major Brand’s like KDK.
But really need better integration with other smart hub for eg Google home.
It not only cannot bring over the scenes that has been set up in Kyla app to Google home, even remotes that are manually set up cannot be detected as well.
Using the clicking of the IR cubes is smart but needs more variation to really make it usable for variously settings since voice command integration with Google home is still not there yet.

I am trying to use this app with the gen 1 smart IR cube. TLDR: slipshod app quality, buy other brands.

The app doesn’t integrated well with Google Home or Apple’s add to Siri. Adding to Google Home only provides a minimum assortment of controls compared to this app itself (think: a fan remote in this app allows control of power, speed, oscillation but when added to Google Home, only power). This is due to a poor/shoddy implementation of Google Home’s API, not a fault of Google. Scenes supposedly allow you to add to Siri but doesn’t work at all, when activating the shortcut via Siri this app is launched but nothing happens. This is due to a poor/shoddy implementation of the Apple’s Siri API, not a fault of Apple.

Eager to support Singaporean brands but ended up sorely disappointed. If you look at the app history for this app, the last update was one whole year ago. This should give you a good idea of how little Aztech cares about their product. For anyone looking to purchase a universal IR remote, I would recommend to steer clear of this company and instead go for the Broadlink RM3, or the Xiao Mi Universal IR Remote.

This app doesn’t work with google home. It works with this app though.
