Colourful chaos awaits in our 2016 iPhone Game of the Year. Supercell’s awesome card battler delivers excellent deck-building mechanics and fast-paced fights in a package that’s easy to understand and undeniably fun. Upgrading, unlocking and experimenting with cards gives the game endless replayability, and deciding just where to drop your heroes makes each battle distinct. But no matter how good your deck is, there’s no substitute for skill and quick thinking.
Pay to win
Okay I remember playing this game back then and it was WAYY better. There are no battle passes and stuff like that to make you extremely overpowered, it was mostly just skill. But now with book of cards and champions that literally break the game, its just not that fun anymore. Besides, legendarys used to feel “legendary” now they are so easy to obtain and get. Heck you could literally get a free magic archer at one point in the shop. The shop literally ruins the game, making newer players wanna quit. Playing a few games could get you enough tokens to buy like 50 P.E.K.K.As, and dont get me started on evolutions. They are basically cheat codes with no drawbacks, making your cards extremely overpowered. Fix your game supercell, even boom arena is better, the cards are evolving but the game is devolving. Stop this pay to win madness once and for all. Playing against level 13 cards in arena 8 isnt fun.
Developers are chasing money
I started playing this game the year it came out back in 2016 around november as it was the end of my exams and was bored.
It started out as a fun game, I played it almost everyday on my mothers phone. When the Supercell ID came out, I made sure my email was linked to my account and when I had a phone, I starting playing on my phone. The game kinda died down for a while and I stopped playing it in 2019 but got back to it in 2021. I spent around 100 dollars on the game thru buying the game pass, pass royale.
In the current update, they have reworked the game pass making 2 tiers that one can purchase and the higher tier pass was obviously more expensive. They have also made a new level which is ridiculously hard to get and progress. The developers have not been listening to the player base and even clash royale youtubers have spoken up about the new level and how it promotes the ‘pay to win’ system and most players aren’t willing to spend that much. 100 dollars was also not spent at one go, it was around 7 bucks a month for me and i also purchased 15 bucks worth of gems once. 7 bucks a month is affordable but now if i even want to progress i would have to spend so much more. Progress in the game is nearly impossible. Supercell please fix your game and listen to the player base and clash royale Youtubers.
