General Performance Improvement and bug fixes
Great app that I use everyday!
Dash has really transformed my life as I rely a lot less on carrying my bulky wallet around. Especially when I go for a run or jog - I can use my phone to track my activity, and also use it to pay for a cool drink at 7-11 on the way home after the run.
This is the only bridge between the mobile phone and payments in the everyday life in today's world.
Looking forward to the revolution this is going to bring towards the way we deal with money!
App is easy to use and has made payments convenient
I like that the app has many key merchants that I can pay via Dash thus far. The app works fast and seamlessly and I will never have an awkward run-out-of-cash moment.
Has great potential but not so intuitive
I read reviews left by unsatisfied consumers and I agree and disagree with them. First of all, registration will be done through the web browser. I noticed that I would have to fill up some pretty personal information. Probably for marketing. But I tried to look pass that. They will ask for your home address, mailing address, income and your NRIC along with a whole other stuff if you choose to sign up for both Dash Pay and Dash Easy. Though I like the concept, the purpose and difference between Dash Pay and Dash Easy was not really clear and took me some time to understand. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that in order to use Dash Easy (a bank account "seamlessly linked to your Dash Pay" by Standard Charted Bank) requires a photograph of your NRIC? AND that you have to go to their branch within 7 days to have a face-to-face verification? I question why you ask for my NRIC online if their is no difference! So I started to using Dash Pay as it was an instant activation (though Dash Easy requires a few working days) and got the S$5 bonus. Within the first 1 month, I was able to get 5% cash rebate at all merchants and Comfort DelGro taxis and 1-time 100% rebate on my first taxi ride (they will subsidize and maximum of S$10). I thought it was cool so I did some purchases at FoodRepublic and it turns out that the rebate was not an instant discount. I would have to pay full amount and wait 1 day to get the cash back. But that's just me being picky. I also noticed that some staff (All 7-Eleven staff) aren't well-informed of Dash and how it is executed. When I first signed up with Dash, it was only Dash Pay. I decided to go online and register for Dash Easy. However, due to the fact that their server "cannot process that", my Dash Pay got terminated! I called up Dash and they said they would give me a refund through cheque withinh 2-3 months. 2-3 MONTHS? Why?! I have yet to wait for 2 months but I'll update on that later. I thought such systems would be able to merge them together. But it turns out I was wrong. I would recommend Dash but there could be better convenience.
