*** With effect from 1 April 2014, Singapore will move to an integrated air quality reporting index, where PM2.5 will be incorporated into the current Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) as its sixth pollutant parameter. This app has been updated to support this new change. ***
Haze is traditionally an atmospheric phenomenon where dust, smoke and other dry particles obscure the clarity of the sky. Though not a common occurrence in Singapore, it does still happen from time to time especially during the Southwest Monsoon season from June to September.
Haze@SG is useful utility that allows you to check the hourly Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) on the go. PSI is a measurement developed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) which provides an accurate, timely and easily understandable indicator of daily levels of air pollution.
The 1-hour PM2.5 concentrations reflect the PM2.5 levels averaged over one hour, and can give you an indication of the current air quality. However, the 1-hour PM2.5 concentration levels can be volatile and tend to fluctuate over the day especially during periods of transboundary haze. Short-term fluctuations will also be very heavily influenced by weather conditions.
- Access to hourly PSI (24-hours, PM2.5 Concentration based) across Singapore from NEA on the go.
- Access to hourly PM2.5 reading on the go.
- Understand what the current PSI means to you
- Share the current PSI/PM2.5 with your friends and family and keep them informed and safe!
- Turn off/on PSI alert notification.

Excellent & Useful App
Very clear screen, soothing colours and with a tinge of humor.. A respite from the hazy skies.
Very informative.. Includes PSI readings and Air Quality Index (AQI), being the conversion (defined by the US Environmental Protection Agency) from the PM 2.5 concentrations.
A wonderful app, which is especially useful for mothers with babies and school going kids, so they can make better decisions on whether or not to leave the house For senior citizens and those who have health issues, they will know to put on a mask before leaving home, and for sports enthusiasts, they can better decide to exercise outdoors or hit the gym.
This is but to name a few ....
The plus points are endless..
From a very Grateful user!
Liked the app, HOWEVER...
No history of PSI and the PSI may be inaccurate, as there's only 3-h and 24-h record average. The app also sends a notification of the record of the Psi whether 100+. And the effect of the 100+,200+ and 300+ changes. Sometimes the sun and night won't work unless the app is refressed (7pm, 7am). There's also an option to message other people. Nice app, 5*.
Very cute animation of the Merlion
I'm interested in seeing how he looks when the weather is better :-) Like that the app has 3-hr and 24-hour data but shouldn't it have 1hr update too? And a place to view past PSI data? For now I'm happy with this app mostly because of the animated Merlion, well done folks!
